The Haemochromatosis Society works with other charities and organisations where possible and appropriate.
British Liver Trust
We are affiliated to The British Liver Trust. The liver can in some cases be extensively damaged as a result of haemochromatosis, so we take a keen interest in their work. You can visit their page on haemochromatosis at this link. The trust runs support groups, provides information, and funds medical research.
The Haemochromatosis Society is a member of Genetic Alliance UK. Genetic Alliance UK is the national charity working to improve the lives of patients and families affected by all types of genetic conditions. They are an alliance of over 180 patient organisations, and their aim is to ensure that high quality services, information and support are provided to all. They actively support research and innovation across the field of genetic medicine. You can visit the Genetic Alliance UK website at this link.
Genetic Disorders UK
We support the objectives of Genetic Disorders UK and Jeans For Genes (http://www.jeansforgenesday.org)
The society is a member of the Haemochromatosis International (http://haemochromatosis-international.org) and the European Federation of Associations of Patients with Haemochromatosis (http://efaph.eu/).
