Here are a few other ways you can help Haemochromatosis UK.
Write To Your MP or Other Elected Representative
Help us to raise awareness with policymakers and our elected representatives about genetic haemochromatosis by writing to them. Our guide has loads of tips and ideas, plus templates that make writing quick and simple.
All you’ll need to do is visit: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/haemochromatosisuk/ and sign up to Easy Fundraising.
Once signed up, add the donation reminder: https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/raisemore/donation-reminder-and-app and it will remind you every time a store supports our cause!
Give As You Live
Give As You Live (GAYL) is a way of the charity receiving commission on your online shopping, through over 4,000 major retailers. Why not sign up as one of our supporters, it costs you absolutely nothing.
Visit https://www.giveasyoulive.com/join/haemochromatosis to sign up as a HUK supporter
You just shop the way you normally do as GAYL take care of the rest, making sure Haemochromatosis UK benefits every time you make a purchase.
You will have heard of Amazon, more and more people are using Amazon to order items. With Amazon Smile, when you order items on the site, a portion of that will be donated to Haemochromatosis UK – here’s how to set it up:
Visit smile.amazon.co.uk and enter your normal Amazon credentials. It will then ask you to pick a charity. If you search for “Haemochromatosis UK”, we should come up! You then click on our name and from then on, Amazon Smile will donate 0.5% of the value of every sale to HUK from any future purchases you make on the smile.amazon.co.uk website! You’ll need to use Amazon Smile going forward for donations to work. There’s a useful Chrome extension that will re-direct automatically to Amazon Smile >> https://couponfollow.com/smilematic

Stamps and stamp collections can be readily turned into funds for the charity.
Donated unused current UK stamps will be used to offset our postage costs. Bulk used stamps can be sold to sorters and stamp collections valued for sale. Please consider donating:
- unwanted stamp collections, for example in albums or mounted, or
- used UK stamps cut from envelopes (with a 5mm border) sent in batches of at least 0.5kg, or
